Release and restore through mindful movement and self-massage to work through tension in the hips and lower body. Guided by your breath, we will focus on opening the hips and heart, releasing deep-seated tension, and moving into a state of ease and acceptance. You will need myofascial release balls, which can be tennis balls or lacrosse balls, to help target and release tight areas. We begin by tuning into your breath while resting on your back, gently stretching the hamstrings and releasing tension in the lower back. A tapping technique will signal to your nervous system that it’s time to relax, followed by self-massage for the hips – getting into the piriformis. Most of the practice is done lying down, making it ideal for anyone experiencing lower back pain. By the end of this practice, you’ll feel restored, relaxed, and ready to meet each moment with confidence and ease.
