Guided deep breathing practice to shift your state of being and clear the slate while activating the relaxation response. No matter how you feel, you can always shift your state of being through the breath.
Breathe deeply, the three part breath: abdomen, ribs, and chest.
Hold the breath at the top of the inhale for a moment.
Forcefully exhale out the mouth, completely letting the breath go.
This is a great practice to invite in anything you are letting go of, whether that is some annoyance, stressor, tension, or old belief.
This breath activates the relaxation response through the holding of the breath and long exhale.
